Title battles to play out in final Super Trofeo NA round and World Final at Jerez…

Lamborghini Super Trofeo titles will be decided after four days of racing at the traditional World Final, which this year is set to be held at Jerez this weekend.

Super Trofeo teams from North America, Europe and Asia will meet at the southern Spanish circuit to play out their regional series on Thursday and Friday before combined World Final races take place on Saturday and Sunday.

Close battles will play out in the Super Trofeo North America field after close competition all season.

Corey Lewis and Richard Antinucci lead the standings for Change Racing but only six points clear of Precision Performance Motorsport’s Brandon Gdovic, who has so far scored one more race win.

Change’s McKay Snow has a 13-point lead over US RaceTronics driver Steven Aghakhani in the Am class, while GMG Racing’s Mel Johnson heads LB Cup by 14 points over Ashton Harrison and Stephanie Cemo.

Of the four classes in Super Trofeo North America, only Pro-Am has already been decided, with Damon Ockey and Jacob Eidson securing the title after winning nine of ten races so far for US RaceTronics.

North America competitors will share the field with Super Trofeo Asia for all of their sessions, while the larger Super Trofeo Europe grid competes on its own.

On-track action begins at Jerez on Thursday with Free Practice and Qualifying for all three regional series.

Race 1 for North America and Asia gets underway at 10 a.m. local time (4 a.m. EDT) on Friday with Race 2 at 3:05 p.m. (9:05 a.m. EDT).

The World Final will see competitors from all three regional series compete directly against each other but separated by class.

Qualifying takes place on Saturday morning, with Am and LC drivers racing at 3 p.m. (9 a.m. EDT) on Saturday and 11:30 a.m. (5:30 a.m. EDT) on Sunday.

Pro and Pro-Am races are scheduled for 5 p.m. (11 a.m. EDT) on Saturday and 3 p.m. (9 a.m. EDT) on Sunday.
