Road America is a road racing track near Elkhart Lake in the US state of Wisconsin. Opened in 1955, it is considered one of the temples of American motorsport and it can accommodate crowds of over 150,000 people. Its original appeal remains intact because the track has undergone very few changes over the years. Its modern facilities and the lakes and forests in the surrounding area help to make it one of the most popular destinations among US motorsport fans and it attracts more than 800,000 spectators every year.
